It seems like to has been a while since I have reached out. This summer has been a whirlwind of activity and changes. We took our son to school in Bridgton, Maine a few weeks ago and the difference in the energy of the house is palpable. It is bittersweet. I am happy that he is spreading his wings and I miss him. Change is good though transitions are hard. The winds of change are blowing as the fall season approaches. Though I love Autumn, I often feel a little melancholy as the seasons shift out of summer. Once we are fully into the fall, I feel invigorated by the fresh air and wonderful smells it carries.

We cannot stop change. The only real option is to go with the flow and accept what is happening. When we accept what is happening, life flows for us. It’s easier. Sometimes, we struggle to hold onto things that no longer serve us. This keeps us stuck. Are you stuck? I feel like I just came out of a stuck period and it took me a while to realize it. My yoga practice brings me back to center. It brings me back to my heart where I
remember that everything is OK just as it is. Then, to maintain the center, am I making life enhancing decisions? Part of Ashaya Yoga® is appropriate action. Appropriate action is conscious action and is needed to make healthy decisions that serve you, others and all of life. This is not always easy to do but with practice you begin to respond in a more conscious manner. Committing and showing up for yoga class is not always easy but the richness and ease that it adds to life is worth the effort. Please join me for the next yoga series “Flow into Fall” starting in October.
